Hello, and welcome to 159th edition of ByteAction newsletter!
Last week, I visited Lithuania for the GameOn conference, their first since 2019, and had a great time. The event was well-organized, with interesting talks and plenty of awesome games to try! Below are a few photos from my trip. If you’re looking to attend a new conference next year, I’d definitely recommend considering it.
As for what happened in the industry: Sony just announced that they will be shutting down Firewalk Studios - the makers of Concord IP, as well as Neon Koi.

Dev Talks
Interview with Olivier Deriviére
“The music in Dying Light 2 was very proactive in supporting your empowerment. We wanted to let players feel how great they can get if they did amazing moves and accomplishments. The Beast is different: it's about one man and his revenge. The music design for this game is a balance of rage and peace, in a world of horror. So not so much gameplay-ish but more gutsplay-ish.”
