As for what’s been happening last week: to start with, Intel has recently reported that they will be laying off 15000 people. That’s 15% reduction of their entire workforce.
In other news, the renowned games industry magazine - Game Informer - will be shutting down after 33 years.
Lastly, Hybe IM, the interactive media and gaming division of Hybe, has secured $80 million in funding for game development
