Last week Sumo Group announced that it will be cutting down 15% of staff whilst Timbre Games - a subsidiary under Sumo Group will be shut down completely.
In other news, online creation platform Highrise announced it has surpassed $250 million in revenue across its marketplaces since 2019. According to the company, significant revenue sources include resales in its in-game Secondary Market and the Highrise Ideas design program, which allows users to submit and earn from their own designs.
Lastly, Paradox Interactive has canceled Life By You, the Sims-like management game that faced multiple delays. Additionally, the California-based studio Paradox Tectonic has been closed.

“Well actually 2024 is also the 30th anniversary of Knuckles, so it is also kind of the year of Knuckles as well! We did have the Knuckles TV show on Paramount Plus which got to celebrate that.
We did want to pick a character that would get fans excited, so that’s why we picked Shadow [this year]. But whatever we can use to get fans excited in the future, we definitely want to look at.”
