Hello, and welcome to 140th edition of ByteAction newsletter!
Last week WeVR studio raised $3.5m for spatial computing and real time 3D production.
In other news, Innersloth, creator of Among Us, has launched Outersloth, a new fund for indie games. Outersloth is focused solely on project funding and has no interest in publishing games or owning IP. They are not considering blockchain, web3, VR projects, or already released titles.
Lastly, Valorant is finally coming to consoles, and apparently it feels amazing to play!

Dev Talks
“If I go back eight years ago, we said, hey, we're going to go ship all of our games on PC and console, and if you buy one on one, you get it on the other. And I got some reaction from people of, this is the worst decision ever. This is going to be the end of Xbox. We announced Game Pass and we started doing Game Pass, and I know some people looked at that and said, oh, you're going to teach people that games are free and you're going to undermine the value in games.
And what I can say sitting here today from our decisions on cloud, on Game Pass, on console, right now we have more Xbox console users than we've ever had in the history of Xbox.”
