Hello, and welcome to 138th edition of ByteAction newsletter!
Another week has passed, and there’s been some new developments in the industry.
As for what’s been happening in the games industry - Amazon Games has expanded into Europe, and opened up a new development studio in Bucharest. The company has hired former Ubisoft Bucharest managing director Cristian Pana to lead its new Romanian studio.
In other news, mobile game stores seem to be on the rise, with Playstation reportedly joining the race.
Lastly, Sega veterans Jarvis Crofts, Luke Greenaway, and Mark Dallamore have launched Alibi Games, a new publisher-agency hybrid.
Headquartered in London, Alibi Games leverages the co-founders' extensive backgrounds in production, publishing, and other areas to assist developers in pitching and publishing their games.

Dev Talks
Interview with Neil Druckman - Naughty Dog
“AI is really going to revolutionize how content is being created, although it does bring up some ethical issues we need to address. With technologies like AI and the ability to do motion capture right from home, we’re reducing both costs and technical hurdles, opening the door for us to take on more adventurous projects and push the boundaries of storytelling in games. This evolution is truly empowering creators to bring their visions to life without the traditional obstacles”
